The department Data Science Solutions is the home of data-driven value creation. You are involved in the development of tailored Data & AI services and push digital transformation for the domains Sales, HR, Finance and Operations with innovative technologies and solutions forward.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and explore large and complex data sets
- Select and fit statistical models and Machine/Deep Learning approaches
- Create insights based on data in the context of projects with a focus on support functions (Sales, HR, Finance) and Operations
- Visualize data analyses and present results to multidisciplinary audiences
- Cooperate with various Schaeffler divisions and combine expert knowledge with analytical approaches as well as improve and narrow down problem definitions and solutions
- Lead discussions with business representatives to define valuable Data Science driven solutions
- Collaborate in an agile, ambitious cross-functional team with ML Engineers, Data Engineers and Software Developers
Your Qualifications
- Academic degree in computer science/information systems, mathematics, statistics, physics, or another subject with clear quantitative focus
- Comprehensive statistics knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in the application of Machine Learning/Deep Learning algorithms, ideally documented by relevant project work
- Experience in Python and packages like pandas, scikit-learn etc. for Data Science Projects
- Solid understanding of database systems, SQL, ETL tools
- Solid understanding of technologies and approaches for the deployment of Data Science models in productive cloud environments
- Excellent programming skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to focus
- Excellent communications skills
